After many years of dedication to Vacumetal and a long international career in sales, Lex is starting a new chapter. At the end of March he will take early retirement.
During his time with Vacumetal, Lex built strong relationships with clients and partners across the world. His enthusiasm for international collaboration, understanding of cultural differences and passion for connecting people have made a lasting impact on both our organisation and the many people he has worked with.
As he steps into this new phase, Lex would like to share a personal message reflecting on his career, the people he has met and the experiences that have shaped his journey.
Below you can read Lex’s message:
‘After forty years of working, a new chapter is beginning for me. At the end of March, I will be taking early retirement.
I’m looking forward to having more time for other things: discovering new interests, continuing to learn, and above all enjoying whatever comes my way.
At the same time, this moment also brings mixed feelings. Over all these years, I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible number of interesting and inspiring people. The meetings, conversations, and collaborations have perhaps been the most valuable part of my career for me, and that is something I will certainly miss.
I have also been fortunate to work internationally and to experience many different cultures. In my field, sales, that also meant that purchasing and cooperation are approached slightly differently everywhere. Understanding and respecting those cultural nuances has always fascinated me and has helped me to be successful.
I would therefore like to thank all my contacts, clients, and colleagues for the trust, the collaboration, and the many great conversations over the years. You have made an important contribution to a career that I look back on with great pleasure.’
